About Us!

Roger and Donnis Davis founded Playground Safety Services Incorporated (PSSI) in 1995 while performing audits and inspections for the Child Care Centers in Cleveland County, NC. Their goal was to provide SAFE outdoor learning environments for ALL the Children in Cleveland County.  During this venture, the "PLAY IT SAFE" slogan was adopted as Our Motto and Playground Safety Services Inc. was born!

From that humble beginning, PSSI has grown to become the South's Only TRUE "TURN-KEY" Playground Company with Operations in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.  To maintain our "PLAY IT SAFE" motto, we currently have (4) Four Certified Playground Safety Inspectors on staff and (3) Three Employees who have successfully completed the Playground Construction School through the International Playground Contractors Association.  Two of those employees, Roger Davis and Greg Taylor were part of the first group to Re-Certify through the Playground Construction School!
